No one in my store cares. The manager asks who can help the next customer and we all look at each other hoping someone will volunteer. It’s easier now cause I don’t do as much work and most days sitting around but if they want to pay me $65k a year then that’s fine.

A few hundred dollars? Try a COUPLE of hundred dollars. I can remember when we use to get $700-$900 a month when objectives were met. So not worth it anymore, not worth the trouble, not worth the anxiety that comes with it so I along with 85%-90% of my co-workers don't even try anymore. Verizon has become such a waste since 2012 when Lowell McAdam took over and now with Hans (don't even remember his last name) I predict that it will get much worse, especially with Hans reputation as the "Grim Reaper" with the other companies that he's worked for before that have now collapsed as a result of his poor management skills and poor decision making.

They'll use the low numbers to close down stores. They can justify going digital only like this, and of course indirect stores.

Bingo! I used to lead teams that would crush goals because they were in control of their income. It was their business to run and they determined how much they made. You will always have those that can't make it. The new model was designed to save money (commission s paid out) and focus on the customer experience. But does it help drive sales? I left , still with Verizon just not sales. But I miss the rush of overcoming objections, the psychology behind what make the customer in front of you tick. And crushing peer stores because our team can close more sales, because there are incentives. Now it's all about the nps to get your bonus but you can't talk about the survey.
