Of course the retail vax mandate isn’t going into effect until after the holiday season. Verizon can’t afford a massive push back and refusal from employees when they can barely staff stores as is. Its obvious the end goal is work us to death during the holidays then when rubber meets the road, cut as much staff out as possible with this mandate. At that time Verizon is banking on floor traffic dying off (like it always does first of year) and this mandate taking money off the books (ppl quiting) without cuts. Also verizon is gonna have the seasonal and part timers to try to fill those roles if need be at later date. I’m vaccinated, but against the mandate. I would stand with any of you. We need to organize a walk out, BEFORE the holidays. Because after the holidays verizon isn’t going to care.

Please read the facts. VZ could really care less about this but it is a government mandate because VZ does business with the government and is now considered a federal company. My friend that works in aerospace and manufacturing has nearly the exact same questions and also the exact same process to upload the docs. From a local level, SF just closed an In-n-Out for not enforcing the mandate. This is a pure government over reach. If you don’t like it, quit and work for another company that does not do business with the government and is less 100 employees .

Obviously the company doesn't want it this way. However their hands are pretty tied working directly with the federal government. If even a quarter of the people leave this company is fu---d for the next couple quarters even more. It's controlled demolition of our economy from Brandon. We can barely staff stores, have staffing, have people of any quality applying or even applying at all. Leaders are shaking in their boots with what's to come. Stores across the country are having melt downs over this mandate. You won't likely hear about them all because leaders are trying to keep the peace.

On top of that most people within the store talk about being vaxxed or not. You really think it’s some big secret as to who got the shot and who didn’t ? I swear if some of these people on here work in Verizon retail stores they aren’t very smart.
Fire those that aren't vaccinated and if they do cuts again most likely those who are get to keep their jobs!
I'm vaccinated and will not stand up for anyone who is not. I know for a fact everyone in my store is except one person and the REST of us do not care if they let him go. We will feel more comfortable with him gone.

There already is a massive walkout being planned. Im sure you will hear about it. This includes a lot of vaxxed people that disagree with this disgusting mandate and want to keep America free.
I work in HR and those that are vaccinated in the stores varies depending on what part of the county you live. In the Northeast for example about 90% of store employees are vaxxed. Then you go down to the Southeast and its more
like 70%. It’s not as extreme as some are making it out to be in regards to if there was a mass termination which there won’t be anyway.
