Squid Game for real. “Displaced” in 2019, I found a STAR role for 18 months, always reminded that I was neither FTE nor Contract … prolonging the agony of being let go after all 4’s and 5’s for over 5 years. Hey, you exceed expectations, congratulations, see ya! Watching whole teams of people a s only the best Managers being slaughtered, sorry “eliminated”. Severance? No, it’s Salary Continuation pay, which means you have to wait until it ends to claim unemployment benefits. I’m aware I’ll be jumped here; but, I am still suffering low self esteem after the gut punch, so much so that interviewing is a terrifying idea. We ARE the WF “horses”!
At least elimination here means a severance package instead of death...

There's plenty of criticism to go around on many fronts.
But I don't think he's totally wrong on that point. There are so many things that are simply next to impossible to get accomplished in any reasonable amount of time.
