Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Run away if you can

Folks under 40 who can easily find a job somewhere else shouldn't be playing the "wait and see" game. If you can leave, nothing should be stopping you from walking out the door. I can guarantee you that the future you are hoping to have here is not going to happen. Fiserv is as good as done. I wish I was at an age when leaving would be that easy.

The city bus is more appealing than this place

I’m interviewing right now and have a potential really good fit. Time to flee the Titanic. It’s been a good run but there is no future left here. I was hoping there would continue to be opportunity at Fiserv but it is crystal clear there will be none. Frank is the destroyer of good companies. But hey, he’s such a RIVETING speaker, isn’t he??!?!

Hilarious the advice to run away,…did you ever hear don’t run but go to something…if you run you will typically catch the bus and end up flat on your back…incredible the level of juvenile advice being given on this site, I sure hope all of your smarter than those giving “advice’ on this site.

There won't be severance. Run, run, run. They are burning it down.

Under 40, 40, or over 40...none of us should be playing the wait and see game. We are only trapped and frozen if we choose to be. For my 40+ friends here, it's true that ageism is a thing, and yet, I implore you, don't give up or give in. If you have aspirations for a different professional path, please pursue. Get your resume' in tip-top shape and start applying and keep applying. Albeit competitive, it's definitely a job seeker's market. Keep pushing ahead 'til you find your happy. Fiserv will soon be a small blip on your professional radar.

That's what I'm doing right now. My manager told me not to leave so I can get severance but at this point I wouldn't be surprised if there was no severance

You are assuming that everyone has a transferable work authorization.
