Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

PLEASE! Make it make SENSE.

Are any other stores being forced to do cold calls daily? They want our store to do like 400 calls to people that DONT EVEN LIVE IN OUR STATE 😂

AND that’s being tracked through salesforce.

We’re already running below staff and they want us to come off the already chaotic sales floor to call strangers lmfao.

Corporate wants us to be aggressive salespeople (like we were years ago) but pay us Target wages. Sir, I am a cashier at this point. Pick out a phone , pay for it, and get out.

Wish I culd use call filter to block upper management's ridiculous requests

Quit tools and cold calls are a waste of time

At least google lets you mark our ceo's e-mails as spam? Ha ha

Repost: "Seriously, who wants to talk to a telesales person. We spend our lives avoiding calls like these. We have an app to stop calls like this. We are short handed and need a mental break and not more fascist junk calls and dictatorial forced call directive. This makes me hate leadership. Would any of these DMs or VPs add insurance by a phone call? So d-mb... smoke and mirrors. Stop wasting my time."

Lol. I mark it complete before the phone rings. then dial, hit mute, let it ring 3 times and hang up. Putting my notice in very very soon cant wait

Since our commission check will stay the same regardless, lets do what's best for the customer per our credo.

Let it ring once and hang up. You'll be saving our customers from a pointless conversation and I'm positive they would thank you for it.

Its satisfying to find ways to not do what leadership wants. They really deserve the least amount of effort from every employee. They can't even be bothered to invest in a functional pos system, and then sc--w us out of more money with an unfair survey system...

Can someone from leadership answer this: Why would anyone go the extra mile for you?

Meh, whats old is new again. Retail is just one big circle jerk of stupid sales activities that don't ever work. Back in the day, we cold called using 5 star, now sales force. They just keep reinventing ways to slam trash on customers. Trash that no one wants.

It’s definitely a waste of time and generally speaking always has been. Of course having a reduced staff it’s even more of a headache. How about if things are slightly slower we take a breather instead of making cold calls ? Nope put that into the Verizon DGAF category.

I totally agree with the original poster, we work retail not telemarketing, we have to make open enrollment calls to customers that declined insurance, Not one person has added insurance since we made these calls starting the month, in my opinion it’s a waste of our time and the customers time, and why even bother commission check is still going to be $800 at the end of the month

Yeah maybe to make the use or cost of sales force relevant? I enjoy the calls as mo--nic as they are. Get away from dealing with customers for a bit

Easy, first off they usually never answer, but all you gotta do is if they do answer, just ask them if they have about 20minutes to go over promos with you... I'm sure they'll say no or even better they'll hang up. Done.
