It’s hard to put into words how bad my store looks. I don't think it ever looked worse. I understand that they see everything as an "unnecessary expense", but really... maybe we should consider the look of the remaining stores? It is horrible to work in them, and I don't believe it is any more pleasant for customers to shop in them?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I used to care about what the stores looked like too. I used to put in over time to get my departments to look decent. Then the powers that be in this company swamped me with never ending programs and paper work. They reduced the number of full timers in my departments and started hiring part timers who don’t give a dmn. Then they eliminated over time. And then I stopped giving a sht.
It’s hard to care about a company that spends most of its time trying to figure out how little they can give you, that’s always trying to “drive profitability through higher productivity”. Those who don’t know “driving higher profitability through higher productivity” means making more money with less people and paying them as little as possible.
So, the stores look like cr-p because those of us who used to care are either gone or just given up. I actually don’t mind anymore. I do a lot less work than I used to do. Now I do ridiculous paperwork on apps all day long and send out work lists rather than do actual work. That’s fine with me. You want to knuckle down on us and try to milk us for any penny? Go for it. I’ll be in the office with my ASMs, watching the MLB playoffs on my phone.
I hate the stores period.
But I thought the people high up that came from Sears were masters in merchandising. Guess not!
Watch out for top stock falling, its a nightmare. Don't know how they get away with it. Oh that's right we don't care, night crew does no wrong, LOL
