Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Net liquid net worth approaching $3mm

Problem is I’m no where close to retirement age (ideally 55).

What should I do?

Nice troll -- excellent humble-brag post. Now complain about your lousy beach house in Malibu or your super hot neighbors who won't leave your Magnificent Self alone.

Maybe the OP really means 3mm of net liquid.

OP thinks $3mm means a stack of singles 3mm thick. You're not retiring on that, yo.

You are never going to make anyone happy with 3mm. That's barely over 1 inch.

Yeah this isn’t the place to ask those questions, but if you are no where near 55, I would suggest continuing to work unless you want to live off of Mac and Cheese for the next 50 plus years. It sounds like a lot but not when you start factoring potential years in front of you. Get with an advisor.

Flex.

Also, calling BS. Smart enough to save up the money but d-mb enough to ask a random internet layoff rumor website for investing advice.

SMH.

If I had 3mm I'd be doing anything other than posting here.

Invest in a brain and maybe you'll have a functioning one by the time you're 55

Well I’m a 65 year old TBSA and live paycheck to paycheck, don’t have a 401k or other savings, rent, and my pastor is praying I will recover from my third case of the China Virus.

When you retire is not based on your age, it is based on if your savings will outlive you or not.

Retire and go to a seminar on how to properly troll.

Hey OP… If you’re savvy enough to accumulate $3MM liquid assets long before you turn 55 years old, why on earth would you turn to this site to ask advice on retirement? Me thinks you’re quite the joker. Anyone else?

Retire and see how long your money will last

That's not enough. Double or triple it before you consider retiring.

Ask WFA what to do. Then do the exact opposite.

Keep working and rat holing money in your 401K. With the current administration and inflation plus the specter of living another 30 years, you cannot afford to retire.
