Is everyone doing quotes with growth item, protection and get more? Out distract is requiring us to do it with every customer if not you can get documented and get fired for it just got the huddle this morning about it.
Pretty sure we just took a training about code of conduct any that’s against I, wish I could post both the code of conduct and the board but can’t load up picture fyi this is the New England region

You can’t be fired for not doing a quote, you have to have violated code of conduct. It is near impossible to be terminated here, legal is in every decision. That being said, one of the other commenters gave you good advice… do not, under any circumstances, record conversations, it is absolutely against code of conduct (even if it’s legal, doesn’t mean it doesn’t violate policy), and legal will jump right on board quick to immediately terminate you for that.
Don't know where you people are, but my store constantly has a 1 to 2 hr queue everyday, we are doing as many, if not more sales now than we were pre covid... New and upgrades,
Just know if you recorded conversations of a manager and it's found out you are guaranteed fired. It's in code. Saw it happen multiple times.
Every single sales job out there has a direct incentive as to what you sell. Working without this invidual commission is leaving a lot of money on the table. How can they not figure this out. The results dont lie. Slam or no slam sales
are way way down based comp figures pre covid.
Ya you nailed it!! Bring back individual commision and the drive to sell will come back , you think all these bandaids are going to fix the bleeding? Reps dont care , they know they dont have to work as hard and they wont get fired cause your contributions standards are all out of whack!!
@2dlc+1da9krwf Being original would mean bringing back individual commission. Corporate Verizon retail stores have gone way down in sales in comparison to the reseller stores. Why is that ? Salespeople who are on direct commission have more drive and enthusiasm to sell.
Quotes?? You think thats whats going to help us??
The 2 baffoons running the district and territory are un original, out of touch on how to sell and talk to customers, the quote tool is not your saving Grace!!
Thats why my District is always dead last , no one has a brain to be original!!
@2nbj+1da9krwf I actually enjoy walking new customers. Most come in with an arrogant attitude like we should do everything to get them to switch. Nope those individual commission days are over. I load up quote and same thing happens they leave frustrated haha. The ones that say that online pricing was different well yeah online usually has different promotions hence order online.
Had a 6liner walk yesterday when they realized staying with ATT was cheaper after I print a quote with everything leaders want- multi-tmp, home protect, a pull thru item
Really great strategy leadership! Waste 20 mins of their time while we over quote customers so they don't switch!
Print me those quotes I’m leaving for sure. What is wrong with those people?
print quotes on lunch then throw in trash
who care?
waste paper ink time money
The code of conduct is a tool for HR. It is open to more interpretation than the constitution. HR will use it to fit the companies various agendas.
@1wmu+1da9krwf “ They can dictate whatever they want me to do during the hours I am on the clock for however long it takes to complete the process - so long as it is legal.“
They can dictate whatever they want but if something they want us to do is unethical then that’s a different ballgame. I have recorded evidence that my managers have told me to slam insurance and they would credit 1 month if the customer comes back challenging it. They have also told us to slam the Get More plan and if customers give push back to tell them try to for 1 month and they will credit back the difference.
Folks stop being so upset. Vzw pays us all an hourly wage. They can dictate whatever they want me to do during the hours I am on the clock for however long it takes to complete the process - so long as it is legal. It’s ALL OK with me. If the process gets the customer (and the ones waiting) angry because I am wasting their time to quote them per company mandate vs. what they specifically asked for or told me so be it. I clock in. I take lunch. I get paid and I get EXCELLENT benefits. The lunacy stops when we lock the door at closing and starts again when we return. It is what it is; we are paid and so we work.
Our district said they want that but I wish they would threaten to fire me! Then I definitely wouldn’t do it!
From earn the right to spitting out jibberish ROFL...
@rhu+1da9krwf spot on.
Slamming the quote with things customers generally would pass on goes against 2.0 and why individual commission went away. Fast forward and corporate retail is way down but Verizon wants to back peddle and have reps slam without the payoff. Good luck with that.
Lol so glad I'm in a district that doesn't care at all about these stupid KPIs. I feel bad for you in the northeast.
Loading up a quite with all the extra cr-p is a sure fire way to walk the customer l, works every time
