Thank you hBBT and Truist for a couple good years.
MoE forced me to go on a job market and I was able to double my compensation.
If not for MoE, I would have probably stuck at dinosaur hBBT - becoming less-competent and less-competitive day by day, stuck with legacy software and hardware technologies, bureacratic processes, and management incompetence.

The sad truth is that a lot of folks at BBT side are not employable outside Truist,.or banking in general.
Their knowledge and skill is subpar and is not competitive on the market, very few people have tra sferabke knowlesge, most of them stuck at whatever dinosaur technology they used to at BBT.
for STI it is even worse, because they are used to idea that offshore contractors do all the work.
so the only people coming out of truist are: legacy technology specialists, experts in watching offshore folks do all the job, and managers who know how to push around excel and powerpoint.
If people truly were knowledgeable specialists they would have found a better employment already, instead of bi-----g on this website.

Don’t be delusional about the job market. At certain compensation levels the market is hot. If you were a highly compensated SVP or above in a position of leadership be prepared to take a big haircut or sit on the sidelines awhile before a comparable position is available. It is not all sugar and spice in the job market at the moment. SunTruist has flooded the market with desirable “teammates” but don’t buy the bull everyone is selling about the increased compensation and blah blah blah!

Me too. MoE forced me to go on a job market search and I increased my comp. (but didn’t double it) to a level that I would never have gotten at Truist. And I am so much happier.
My h-st co-worker just told me he found a nice job outside of banking. He applied for a job, admitted he has only bank experience, but had work skills that could be used in another industry AND Success! He took a do-able pay cut but is certain he can grow with the new company and also loves the new non-Truist atmosphere.
There’s a new life out there! Have faith, be brave, believe in yourself. You’ve been abused but you will recover and thrive.
