I used to worry a lot that everything I do is perfect, that I do everything the best I can, but now I don't do it anymore. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to give 120 percent of themselves because there is no guarantee that you will survive cuts or that your efforts will be noticed and rewarded.
Then WHY would anyone bother? Makes no sense.

At the end of the day i do my best for me & that person on the other end of the line.
Even if you aren’t impacted this time I believe that they will come back around middle of 2022 and do another round of layoffs. We are calling high priority post discharge members and they are not answering. We’ll see I might be wrong but I’ve been here many years and the writing is on the wall.
I agree. I gave my best day in and day out for over a decade (down to ensuring I never went over even a minute on lunches or breaks). Never called out in 10 years, worked all the extra projects and I'm still impacted. Lesson learned.
