Yes, it’s about ranking, specifically a fake, fundamentally corrupt ranking system that is built to back justify the choices made by sponsors. Work, real work, has nothing to do with it.
Get your RSUs, this is what you’ve sold your brain and integrity for, but at least sh-ut up and stop pretending that you’re not milking a corrupt system.
And watch out for your sponsor retiring or falling out of favor. Suddenly, all your “hard” work will buy you no more high ranking and sweet RSUs.
When RSU is awarded the number of shares approved for each CL/ranking has not changed recently. But the value of the shares moves around with the stock price. If your RSU grant has lower shares than last year, then you dropped in ranking. Many that got grants last year will not get RSU this year, because they dropped in ranking. Some that did not get RSU last year will get RSU because they increased in ranking. RSU is about CL and ranking. So get to work, if you want RSU/EBU

RSUs are a big secret, just like “potential”, because the company has always tried to hide the shameful way “the chosen ones” preferentially treat each other.
To get RSUs you have to be very well ranked, but everybody knows, although it’s an official secret, that the upper third and upper part of the middle third in ranking is forever “reserved” for the HiPo/management class.
So in spite of all claims of “merit”, at EM potential/ranking/RSUs are bolted together.
The ruling class awards itself all the goodies and then claims it’s an objective, flawless and totally separate evaluation system.
Because it is only given to selected people? What do you expect about transparency from this company? Hence people who receive it will make sure that they protect it by appointing "people like us" in their surrounding....get it?
Why does the company keep the RSU program such a secret? I’ve never understood why it’s not discussed as a benefit and you’re told not to talk about it if you get it. Most people don’t even get all the details of the program once they start receiving.
If you dropped out of the top 2 quintiles and you are below CL 28...you will not get RSU.
So for you...RSU will be less

Are RSUs only given in the US?
Heard average RSU will be lower this year. Rumor was $5,000 to $10,000 range for CL25 to CL28. To avoid stock dilution.

How long have you been with the company since you mention you got promoted to CL24 ? I hope you are employees with < 5 years experience...fresh grads with university degree usually will be hired at CL 23...

Just got promoted to CL24, I was given them as a “please don’t leave” even though normally it’s CL26. Still going to quit though. $5k of RSUs don’t mean jack sh-t to me.
Compensation policy and RSU grants have not been approved by Board yet. Eligible folks will get informed after Board approval (ie after Thanksgiving to mid Dec. )
I believe RSU is only for "Outstanding" rank and above
RSU is restricted stock.
I’ve worked for other companies and their restricted stock plan is much more generous.

O&O+is all I’ve ever seen awarded RSU. 7.5k??? I’m assuming that’s a $ amount. And if that is true that is low

Take your RSUs and shove it.
They are typically not issued until the end of November (all of mine have Nov 2X dates) and communicated in December.
