Since managers here have no manners, competencies or knowledge (not to offend the few who really can be called managers), I wonder can just about anyone become a manager here?
It seems to me that it is easier to become a manager than get a job as a cashier. I'm being sarcastic, but you get the point.

If id--t Managers could fly, the sky would be like “One Belk” Air port!
It takes a certain mentality to become a Belk manager. They don’t want people too smart as managers because they would question things, and they don’t want people who potentially can expose Belk’s wrong doings. I’ve looked at many Linkden Pages for managers and lots of them have an eclectic work history, one manager was a nurses aid (which means she emptied bed pans), then she was a belk associate, now a manager, talk about no qualifications for management. We also have managers who have friends and relatives in high places at belk, so there are lots of factors that play into it. Almost nobody is a manager who is hired based on qualifications alone.
"Almost anyone. You are that 1% that's too much of a mo--n not to be considered management material."
That's a real knee-slappin', hysterical comeback, there. Jackie Martling and Don Rickles got nothin' on you!
Did you know there was a guy years ago who called himself The Unknown Comic? Why don't you try being like him? Stay unknown!
Better yet, give us all a good laugh: Go stand out in the middle of a busy highway and try to catch a moving bus.

An STM always asked why I didn't become a manager. I told them I passed the IQ test and was disqualified. I was never asked again.
I never could because I have a Degree.
“When my boss asks me who is the stupid one, me or him? I told him everyone knows he doesn’t hire stupid people.” Tell the truth and may be it will set us free! Many times you and I know that some managers got the job at Belk not because what "YOU know but who know YOU" connection! It is what it is and we can't do nothing about it. Not all people at Belk are bad managers but if you don't know what you doing then you should not be one!
If you think your boss is stupid, just remember you and I would not have a job if he was any smarter! Live and learn and "Manage your Boss" everyday!
Kinda vague.. what’s the real question
