In most of the companies, that would mean don't make him look bad by being a slacker and not knowing what you're doing. Not at Fiserv, though. Here, where management hides from issues and responsibilities, you can make your manager look bad simply by doing your job to the best of your ability. They don't want to be upstaged or proven to have no idea what they're doing. If you stand out, you're screwed.

401k is back?
Are they giving us back what they took from us during the pandemic with interest?
Till they do, be quiet.
We worked hard and were taken for a ride while the company made $100s millions.
401k is back Jan 1…no increase in medical premiums another holiday added…not one post about these good items.
I agree with the person who just replied. I manage and encourage my team to upstage me. There are plenty of other managers like this, too. You just have a bad manager. But like the last poster said; senior management sucks. A lot. Out of touch and deaf. Time to jump ship.
Sounds like you might just have a shity manager, those exist at every company. On the other hand, they probably have no real decision power and have to go by what upper management dictates.
That being said, upper management is terrible and should all be fired. From the terrible handling of the "great return" to ki----g off the 401(k) match, they have proven time and time again they don't care about anyone other than the shareholders.
