Let’s assume that after all the commotion created by the employees the management is reacting and giving 50shares of GF and assuming it is trading at 60 it would 3k retention bonus, which would be about 54million (spare change) if given to 18000 employees. It’s a big thanks to them and I should be happy but the problem is the culture.
-
Why do we have to ask them for our dues?
-
Why are they giving a big c hug ink to senior director and higher without asking?
-
Why did they not give a discounted IPO offering?
-
What are they not giving discounted ESPP plan so I can actually buy 10% of my paycheck and end up getting a better return than the 3k?
The reason they are not doing is they have no money and whatever they have is they are spending on higher ups because they believe that they will get higher returns on the higher up people investment and they he final thing is the culture. It is all about I and not about us.
Remember pre COVID it was us and we will come out together BS then they announced layoffs. They cannot keep their own word. I wonder how much they have spent over the IPO which was successfully because now they are just under 30 billion company gaining 4 billion in less than a month but they will only spend mere 54 million on their employees.
The upper management is the one that needs to change so that there is actually change in the culture and actually treating the employees as a family.
Just like Tesla, Tom and the higher ups should be given their due only if GF becomes 50 billion dollar company by 2025.
