They make Wal-Mart look like Mother Teressa.
Any district staff that does not have direct reports will be gone by the end of 2022. Think about it - the district staff gets paid well plus bonus. If they do not have direct reports and have full teams at corporate that handle most of their duties/responsibilities now, what benefit are they providing to district. Unless they can prove how they are revenue generating, they will be gone.
Lowes hired many seasonal associates and put them on the floor too early before store budget approval. Next was to cut part time associate hours, many needing the hours to make ends meet, while store is up and above sales plan and the managers get the benefit of bonus money......sad
What’s the latest on MSM roles changing to ASM MSM and them possibly getting DS. Who will be over the MST’s if MSM is over whole store…
PSE Consolidated. Millwork specialist most likely next. Price coordinator gone.
There is a magic number of how staff they want the stores to be. and because of this drop in staff, Talent Acquisition will be the first major group to see layoffs or go away.
Department specialists are going the way of the dodo. Will be replaced by some yet to be titled position that is essentially a specialist who can cover any department and sell. That way there will be a reduction in number of positions and will "save payroll" long term.
Flatbed drivers going 3rd party may also happen still too, although that is a harder replacement.
Yeah, Specialists are on the chopping block now. And they are phasing out F/T CSA’s! The goal is 90% P/T and 10% F/T.
