Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Supplies manufacturing and shipping

It's an absolute DISASTER. If a supply item isn't on backorder (rare), it still doesn't even ship out for 5 to 10 days after the order is placed because they can't find enough workers to pick/pack/ ship. And there are trailers filled with supplies sitting in the parking lots because they don't have people and/ or space inside to unload them.

Whoever wrote this comment on supply warehouse consolidation (@2bno+1dBhUgB3) is absolutely right - it is a real disaster.
It seems to me that supplies manufacturing and shipping issues will only get worse?

E.D. Has caused disruption and delays to the supply demand process placing all employees in a state of added stress.

Xerox is the most untrustworthy company I have ever dealt with.
Possibly Enron might have beaten them.
You should have Zero dealings with this company at all. 0️⃣ Don’t be a fool.

it will be clear when 4Q2021 market share arrives. Share today is SUPPLY driven, not demand driven. If X share sinks then, it’s all about Johny-I-don’t-look-healthy-pi-s off-major-suppliers, Cut inventory prior, warehouse, labor to $0?

Is Supply gap greater than peers?

If 4Q Market share decline then it means self inflicted vs peers. and 110% sr mgt to blame. Great Grandpa Carl will have nothing to show from his ‘lil boy

It’s been 3+ yrs of clown show. They know they need to run now before shot hits the fan. They’ll suddenly running for “other opportunities”.

Watch.

To those of you blaming it on "global supply chain issues" please show me a company as large as Xerox that has reduced their number of product warehouses down to ONE. Go ahead, I'll wait.

The US had around 12 supplies warehouses 10 years ago (some of them were supplies + parts) then they slowly closed down the 3rd party vendor ones, then slowly closed down the ones owned by the company.

Then for around 4 years they contracted with TechData to store and pick/pack/ship the supplies. They had 3 warehouses in the US. California, Texas, and New Jersey. From what I saw things worked pretty well.

But then they thought they could do it cheaper themselves and consolidated 3 down to a single warehouse. ONE.

I'm sure someone got a fat bonus for all the money that was saved.

Really miss those days when spare parts shipped out in 24 hrs. Hard to believe what a mess field distribution has become. Went from a world class customer first org..to a cluster fk.

No accountability, the "C" suite blames the field when the issues percolate to John V.

Do they have sound reason not to pay invoices? Breach of contract?

Who cares, let the customers wait, none of them are paying their invoices anyways!!

Not just a xerox problem but this may hit xerox way harder as it’s logistics was already a white hot mess prior to global shipping crisis. Other industry players catch a cold … xerox gets terminal diarrhea.

Second the post below! The world Supply Chain is in disarray, the chip shortage affects every company that make electrical devices and even if the cargo gets to ports, there are not enough drivers ... so is it just Xerox and its management, the answer is a BIG NO. Those who blame Xerox do not know how economics and world supply works. Read up on it, get the facts and stop complaining!!

Happening at a lot of companies in the industry. This problem is not unique to Xerox.

Completely out of Touch, very typical of the management.
That 20 yard cold stare from the ivory tower will really help fix the supply issues.
Everything is everyone’s else’s fault. Absolutely No Accountability.
