This week there were several town halls across the organization and all presenters showed a skill they all share - the use of fillers. They all hit the hmmmm after every sentence. So now we know that good public speaking is not a requirement at the highest role level at WF…

It’s indicative of lying or having to think extremely hard to make up an excuse in the moment. There’s a reason you didn’t hear Charlie do that until he started answering questions about RTO. He knew he looked like a fool telling everyone it’s important to be in the office while he was doing the town hall from home
The only skill required is being able to sell bu-----t in front of people and cameras.
Of course it’s a first world problem. We live in the USA, which is a first world country…
I was talking about this today....the previous regime had their problems, but at least they answered questions in real-time without an HR "blankie" to shield them from the substantial ones.
Of ALL the things to consider, using 'filler' words is easily the least important.
You know there's nothing of substance to criticize when all we get are threads about someone not having a slick, polished speaking manner.
(Think: first world problem)
Choo Choo is only earning some 20 mil per year. Don't expect him to fork up a couple of grand to get a speech coach. Or God forbid just google some help himself. Also, remember that we got a CEO that took a job that few would even consider.
Say what you will about Stumpf, but at least the guy could speak properly.
