B9s telling me they're "highly paid" when they make 160-180k after working for 15 years lol.
People with 1-5 yoe are making that much in similar CoL area at other companies.

You can make a lot of money at IBM without being an executive. If you aren’t or didn’t, clearly you weren’t doing the right thing.

There's a big difference between one person in Red Hat getting some RSU's and saying "Red Hatters are getting $15000 of shares". There are devs in IBM getting RSU's as well (not sure how many, but I know it's been happening) but it's only a handful that IBM is desperate to hold on to.

Your right as I typed in my answer I forgot they said "all"

The problem for us in the trenches is when people at your level make the mistakes that hurt performance, we in the trenches pay, while you at the upper levels keep what little money is made for yourselves.

What little money there is should be passed along to the folks doing a good job in the trenches who are doing what you have decided is the current direction, and not kept for the greedy execs who were wrong to begin with..

I don't want to get into an argument here. I'm making the point that a 10% bonus for all executives regardless of performance is not on the cards.

Not that executives don't get bonused based on band and company performance at year end. Of course we do.

First this is not cr-p that has been posted. Things like this happen all the time, you just do not hear about it. My spouse is an executive and the bonus they have gotten some years is just crazy. I just shake my head and think this is crazy.. then I get my bonus and well lets just say it is zero to very little.

The execs have always kept the money up in the exec levels and let very little trickle down to the select few.

I listen in on calls my spouse has with the other execs and it is a wonder that anything gets done. Just to many execs and no one wants to give any bad news. They make it all good news. The other problem is we have middle mgt that promote people who they should be able to see are just BS folks, but because they are not good leaders, they get smoked by these people then put them into positions they do not belong in.

This is total nonsense for several reasons.

First it would send a terrible message. Secondly, remember this is the company that has made every executive fly coach unless they're on the special travel program. So there is no money for this.
