Has anyone else heard the rumor of a RIF in NA on 10/18?

So amazing HPE is still in business. It defies all logic to get rid of the most experienced people that have navigated this business with a lack of resources for years. Unless they are planning on the AI doing everything.
This is in response to "Apparently those who got the event invite for this mornings call with Simon aren't affected". Simon had two calls one at noon central and then a follow-up call at 1230 central. Those invited to the noon call were WFR'd that at the 1230 call were not
It would be nice if just for once in 10 years things got better rather than worse.
Layoffs announced today in Account Services. And more to come

I just got off the con call with Simon, don't know how many got it but I was one. Hire date 10/29 WFR date 10/29
Correct, this is far different from a WFR across the board. There are always selective layoffs, but large RIF/WFRs always occur 6 weeks before a quarter end so the results can be reported.
Yes it's coming. Sorry, not a RIF, but a 'consolidation' inside engineering at least. We're meeting about it on the 19th.
Confirmed by my spouse. She was told to update her resume asap.
My spouse works for HPE. She is an ASM and has been for YEARS. WFR's are beginning 10/18 and again early 2022. My spouse was told by her manager "to get her resume updated asap".
HPE always WFR 1 week before Thanksgiving.
Just so everyone is aware. HPE IT spent over 2 billion with Deloitte, DXC and Infosys in 3 years. Just so you know, your jobs are in jeopardy because HPE pays contractors and consultants to keep the books looking good for the stock holders, not because it makes sense. HPE is not a company which looks out for its employees best interest or its long term future; only its board, C level suite and short term gains.
Your Engineering and Business strategies are built on top of IT capabilities that could care less if you win or fail. They only care about their billable hours.
Take that to the bank!
If HPE's fiscal year still starts on November 1st, the WFRs would have started 6 weeks earlier or mid-September.
No I have not heard of any layoffs planned for Oct. 18, 2021.
Does anyone know what the HPE Construction is at the HPE Agency / Regulatory Lab on Rodgers Road that is currently under way.
Are there plans to add staff at that location when complete
I have not heard anything, but thinking back to prior years that seems to be a very likely date. Two weeks working and exit right at the end of FY21.
