Congratulations Humana, I am the husband of a Humana at home care manager and I have to say, the way I have seen you treat your Nurses in the last few years is appalling. My wife was so excited to get this job a few years back, she loved working for Humana and the job worked out great for our family with her being able to work from home. In The last couple years it all has changed. I have never seen her more miserable in the 20+ years she has been working in Nursing. The pay and benefits are just to good for her to volunteer for the layoff but I pray to God she is one that gets cut. You should be ashamed.

When I was hired by Humana as a Case Manager we were respected as professionals. Now it’s all about how many you call and clicking boxes to prove you “closed a gap”. Not sure they really care about seniors. Pretty sure they don’t care about nurses. So stressful and demoralizing.
There is merit to his comments. I worked for Humana At Home for 10 years. I was so proud of the work we did. But over the years, senior leaders kept changing the long term plans for care management so the nurses were in a constant state of flux, not to mention the annual hiring and then year end layoffs.
I finally threw in the towel when I learned all the system changes made for ECOM we’re being discarded for post discharge calls only and needed to be in place before year end.
Like someone else said, there are plenty of other companies hiring. I am so happy I left!! My stress is gone and I actually have time for family and friends!😁
Harsh. Maybe it’s ok to want the job you have or hoped to have and maybe it’s ok to express frustration when the company doesn’t live up
Maybe she should look for another job and stop being a victim. Lots of jobs out there.
