Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Do any of the tenure employees have any experience or knowledge of what it actually takes to get fired for metrics at verizon?

I've seen management put a rep on a final written warning for metrics but nothing happened. They still work here.

The reality is, it’s almost impossible unless that person just stops showing up to work. Even on a final written warning, a termination has to be reviewed by HR and legal. For metrics, they go through every digital locker and coaching related to the reason for termination. 99% of the time digital lockers and coachings are not written properly and are thrown out, therefore leaving not enough support to terminate someone. Plus they have to see “Months” of related coachings for that.

Those same bottom level reps that may have made it to a final warning are now making more money. They are also locked into their jobs without fear of termination because Verizon doesn’t have the staffing to do such things. Imagine how all that worked out...the bottom feeders have now become an asset.

As a tenured employee my response would be;

Hahahhaah a final written warning!? That takes some effort, or the manager is a douche. Either way, That's hilarious bro good for you. Hahahaha
