Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Overreach vax vs non vax

Looks like the post got censored of all the Truist folk talking about the Orwellian Truist overreach going on a witch-hunt of the unvaxxed. Maybe because someone started bringing up the topic Nd hundreds were in agreement that it’s an overstep of Truist or maybe because someone in comment section was bringing up the idea of unionizing against the vaccine overreach.

I refuse and still have not submitted my status. Just curious for if anyone who's done the same has had any nasty grams around it? I personally have not (yet). Also while looking for the first post around this topic I found an interesting one from BOA who were in a similar predicament, and they required them to sign a waiver to their HIPPA rights?!?!? see link below https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1aVjwhmI

I guess my response this person's post was taken down. I was agreeing with the fact that it is an aggregious overreach by truist. I also mentioned that some people who may or may not work entrusted on their property there may react to the overreach at facilities in unique ways. I saw on the news today that some suntrust signs are missing the S outside haha maybe they will notice that no one is down with their vax overreach and layoff agenda. maybe they can begin to smell the next reactions coming.

I agree, I find it rather interesting that the majority of my colleagues at "now truist" are very against providing that information to the bank, they all believe that it is none of the bank's business. The bank is going to make a lot of people upset who were generally top performers and doing very well at the company, I find it disgusting that the bank believes the woke path is the way to go. These vaccines are experimental whether fda approved or not, they have never been used before in human history and do not meet the definition of a vaccine. these are spike protein mrna that continue to replicate forever. Take the jab or get fired. I would much rather get fired and sue them than die from this dangerous vaccine. I have seen too many people get complications or death from the vax to go down the same road knowing that big pharma has no accountability.

So my adverse reaction of passing away would be covered? I value my life over the fact of getting laid off for making a personal decision that my employer should have no say jn

FYI, when an employer mandates the vaccine, that means adverse reactions are covered under worker's comp.

I am expecting the unvaxxed to get downgraded on their "wellness" category for insurance premiums, if not an outright surcharge like Delta Airlines is doing.

Has truist actually said what would happen if you don’t mark your vaccine status?

I can't believe Truist is treating their employees in this manner. They know this whole vaccine thing is a scam, the science has shown that every vaccine does not make people immune to covid nor does it come without significant safety concerns. Mandates like these and decisions to lay people off and treat them differently for a personal choice is shameful of truist.

Your post contained misinformation, the vaccine works and protects one from getting seriously ill. Not vaccinated people are what caused the Delta variant which is now infecting children.
You're correct, you have the freedom to decide for yourself, and that liberty is to leave the bank on your !

You have a choice to work for Truist. Don’t like the vaccination policy? You have the choice of finding a new job. Please spare us from your victim complex. I’m hoping Truist raises insurance premiums for anyone who isn’t vaxxed. I don’t want my premiums going up because you believe is Facebook science.

I disagree that people should take something they don’t want and move on that makes no sense. Everyone has the liberty to decide for themselves it’s not something Truist should be looking to lay people off as a basis. They are completely ridiculous for thinking they can force people into coercion like this. It’s not gonna end well for Truist in the eyes of the public or the storm that it’s going to drum up. Unionize is probably the best bet for Truist to last but who knows maybe they have ideas on merging with boa or wells to create a more dystopian uptopia

If you are still employed at SunTruist the least of your worries and problems are whether you’re vaccinated or not. This is especially true if you are HBBT. If you were eligible for the early out and didn’t take it I pity you! Your time is short and you don’t even know it.

A lot of union talk here, so I seriously doubt that could have triggered the deletion. More likely the language used triggered it.

JPM employee here, I’ve stumbled upon this thread by accident. Don’t know what’s been deleted so I’m just guessing here, based on my experience from our section of this site which I’ve been following for ages.
Site mods here nuke posts containing:

  • names or anything personal and identifiable
  • f-words and personal insults, racism
  • politics and religion talk
  • advertising posts (meaning: careful with links)
  • off-topics (meaning: if it’s not related to the company and it’s employees, it may be nuked).

Hope I helped. Good luck.
