Are Verizon employees really expected to ask to see a vaccination card in states that require (new york, California, New Jersey) Can an employee from those locations speak on this? How is that going? Escalations?

It’s illegal. Imagine asking a customer if they had a Polio vaccine.

This isn’t a thing for retail stores in California so far. We are also going through a recall election for governor on Sept 14th. Anything is possible.
