Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Younger people don’t like VZW at all

I think that’s true, the millennials and younger people don’t like VZW at all. What is not clear to me is why this company is not doing anything to attract these people, that is, to persuade them to use VZW as well. This company is stuck in the past instead of planning for the future as it should.

Great marketing strategy, spend millions trying to get gamers who can't afford VZ. If we had the blazing fast 5G speeds we've been hyping for years, then maybe we'd have a shot at this audience.

Verizon is expensive and Millennials are broke. Bad combination.

They are doing a lot and trying to get gamers, I saw at least two large streamers on VZ commercials and promotions on twitter. drlupo and imqtpie. They are pushing that it's the carrier for gamers. If you want the best gaming then you need to be on Verizon, the whoosh is that they are marketing it to gamers but gamers don't seriously game on phones.

Kinda out of touch just like the pokemon go promotion that was only what 4 years late. Sprint has had their stores are pokestops since day one.

Agree. They know a lot of young people can’t afford Verizon, so they don’t care if they attract that segment or not because they aren’t going to lower their service prices.
Just like they don’t care about old people on fixed incomes, either. Uppety company.
