Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

5 years later and we still can't have a working point of sale

They want us to fail.

Can't fix the ipad point of sale systems we've had for years yet they can spend tons of money of everything else and expect us to do more.

Failed activation orders daily.

If you have to walk bams and ma-s through it constantly then the system = trash. I promise you bams and ma-s don’t have time to be told “user error” by a coordinator or the dumpster fire COE

It is not just POS. It is literally like everything we touch. Our gmail goes down. Our calendar goes down. Slack goes down. Salesforce goes down. Those aren’t even VZ branded platforms. When they aren’t down, they are slow! In some cases, the network is slower at the office than remote! Why are there so many platforms of POS? Retail OMNI, Indirect Omni, B360, etc? Nothing works right with this company. We still have the annual One Talk outage. It has to be overseas IT. I can’t explain it.

He’s actually right. B360 definitely has its trash moments, but for the most part, it works as intended and does most things 100x faster than OMNI B2B. But what do I know, I’ve only been in B2B for years…

That said, your underlying sentiment about the systems isn’t wrong. It’s been years since I was in retail but spent a decade there and they were horrible then; can’t imagine they’ve gotten better. And yes the sh-t tablets they have you using definitely doesn’t help matters.

But when it comes to B360, a good many of the issues encountered are definitely user error (this isn’t just retail folks; I walk through BAMs and MA-s on how to do sh-t on a daily basis).

To the person that said “user error.” You have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about. Verizon systems are absolute trash, they have been for years. Can’t tell you how many times a huge deal was made, but can’t be sold because of pos systems not working. Whoever’s in charge of POS systems at Verizon should be ashamed of themselves, I have absolutely no idea how you still have jobs….you have cost this company so much money and business. “User error” - you are adorable lol

If you have problems with b360 it’s user error.. 99% if the time it works fine. Retail plebs bi--h about it not working when in reality they just don’t take the time to learn how to click the right buttons..
