@pte+1cu9HXct - if you're looking for 'Job Security' you may want to try the U.S. Military. You're not going to find it in any private sector corporation.
It used to be a good place to work. We used to have good benefits and we used to have leaders who understood the work. We now have talking heads that have no understanding of what banking is supposed to be about and who produce copious amounts of propaganda to convince the world that we are a "great place to work". This has been a steady downhill ride since the collapse in 2008. The bank's response and subsequent performance has come at the expense of the associates who make the bank work.
I used to love my job too - but for the past 10 years I have just been a body in the chair.
I really did love my job but it’s been years since I felt that way. Brian and company have ruined that. I stay cause I get paid. I do what is needed to be done and that’s it. I no longer feel any obligation to go beyond that. Basic fact is, the company (Brian, Cathy, and other empty headed “leaders”) cares more about themselves than the employees or customers.
Yes, if you are only looking for a paycheck + benefits. No, if you are looking for a career, transferable skill set to another company, or job security.
Sarcasm is strong with this one, the grass must be greener, right bud?
Read the room. :-) Defenders are deniers in this environment. Just move along if you don't agree.
It is a good place to work for insurance and 401k match but that’s about it.
OP - wipe your mouth and get Brian his coffee!
How's Albany?
