Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

vsrp

Many retired in May 2021 and were not notified of the posting of the upcoming package offer on email as of 6/03/2021 but many executive management folks are now retiring. Sounds like insider knowledge to me.

You’re on point. I know people who had already placed request and then withdrew to wait when someone tapped them on their shoulders to wait. It’s shady asf, Kelly getting his 10-25% and capping the serfs at 2.5% while inflation under sleepy joe exceeds 15%

@3nyn Look at the site rules. Names or anything personal and identifiable is not allowed. Don't expect to post names and not see them deleted unless they're the ELT (public figures.) I've been on this forum long enough to know that.

My understanding of policy; anyone choosing to retire in May would have had to give notice in March. Above that, most managers were notified of VSRP at the same we were. So, if someone gave notice in March, if a manager knew of VSRP why would they tell someone who chose in March to retire? You have posted this multiple times but I am having a hard time seeing it. Please help me out here. Thanks

There was post earlier about naming names that has disappeared. Someone is monitoring and obviously complained and had it removed. Big brother SunTruist is watching I see.

From my seat, Truist Executive Management cares about client satisfaction at the exact same level they care about employee satisfaction - which is to say that it doesn’t even cross their minds.

They just want all the high paid people in the bank gone. They promised savings to Wall Street so they are going to deliver. Nevermind they are losing talent and surely clients. We will see long term if this was a good decision. In my opinion, it won’t be.

Many others are retiring and were so-called not eligible for the VSRP because they were “client facing”. However many “client facing” teammates did receive the VSRP. Sounds like unequal treatment. Nice that the RPs and other senior leaders got the package while many producers who have given their all for the bank for many years were omitted.
