Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Meeting for RIF

Has HR met with everyone that will be affected? When do we need to make a decision (if they give us that option) to stay or take the severance?

Everyone potentially affected should of gotten the email on 8/23. We will know by mid Oct. regardless If you stay or opt out or get riff d, we all will transition together. All work as normal till end of December. Good luck to all!

I was in this position last year…started looking outside of Humana immediately…elected to take the severance…but we were guaranteed a lateral move job at that time…now..not sure anything would be guaranteed with new model for you all?? Home health?? Good luck!! I’m a nurse and I had immediate offers outside of Humana. Although Humana is really good to work for, the 401(k) is good the benefits are good. Insurance will probably cost you more outside of Humana. A lot to think about!

If you choose to stay on but in October are let go, will you receive same severance package?

We had a meeting this with 90 people from different teams and were told we'd get the email on 8/23 and have until 9/3 to submit our selection.

You make your decision if you want to opt out or stay and continue on with Humana on the 23rd. End of October they are supposed to announce whether you were let go or if you will continue to have a position with Humana. After they have told you you will be let go Then you will meet with HR. If you have questions go ahead and call HR they can answer questions any time

IF and HR rep was present during the meeting that took place to inform of lay offs than you should expect an email on 8/23. This survey wills determine how many more lay offs will need to happen prior to transitioning to “new”model of work.
