Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

When was the last time you had a work-life balance here?

I did, but a long time ago, when I first came here. Work-life balance no longer exists.
Everything has turned into work to such an extent that I can't even get enough rest. Verizon takes this very lightly. I guess they think it's okay and that when a person reaches the breaking point, someone else will come in their place who will work even harder and without any rest.

Is this another retail post? Because you will never have work life balance when your job is to fill a store with human punching bags.

You guys must have really sh---y managers. I encourage my reps to take time off. I always make sure they have their lunches no matter how many people are in the store.

I think you have to assume that there will be no work life balance and make a decision as to whether the $$ and benefits are worth it. I've been with VZ for a very long time, there have been very few pockets where I felt like work was not encroaching on my personal life. I suspect many of you have had similar experiences.
