Our region executives told us that we can't go to bathroom with two of us working in an email, they said we have to call in to them and ask for approval to close the doors and then ask clients to step outside and then place sign on door then one of the 2 of us can go to the restroom. They cited me 4 times an an exception in ICE for going to the bathroom or water fountain. They said it poses a security risk. Others have been cited too. One got a bladder bag which was gross but it was a work around bc they were able to p-e without going to restroom. There is no way someone can go through all of those steps every time they want water or to use the restroom. We have had 8 events of people soiling themselves, and two of people getting their pants wet, one got kidney stones and other complications and they quit. We have had to have biohazard teams come in to clean up, it looked like a zoo. Some of us laugh at the circumstances because it has been 3 years of this and we have all had our accidents due to the bathroom policy when 2 working but it is really not that funny. Then region leaders want to make fun and tell other branches that you soiled yourself and everyone finds out but meanwhile it is because of their no bathroom policy when just two people working which is 100% of the time, who can reasonably go through all of those steps and wait a half hour after nature begins to call especially when the phones are ringing off the hook and you have homeless people coming in for their 15th lost debit card.

It's so true about two people in the branch, the threat every day from not only rude clients, but the chance to get robbed. Class action lawsuits are very expensive and in reality, no one is making you stay, that will be the findings even though it shouldn't. The teller is the one that is at threat every single day and if you make one mistake you get written up and threatened to be fired if it happens again.

Get out when you can, stay out of banking, it's not a respectable job anymore, especially at Truist.

Unfortunately, the only way to bring about change is a lawsuit. Not something settled out of Court. Something that is public for the world to see. It's not about lives at stake. It's about the payout and expenses from the lawsuit. If someone gets hurt, then they will find some executive scapegoat and pay him millions to leave the company and after a bogus "tearful" apology.

Make a video from a hidden smart phone and upload it. If you do not feel safe at work, you are entitled to do so to show the world how unsafe the office is. If someone gets hurt, at least there will be a good chance it will be caught on camera and can be used in Court.

That's the truth. It's not safe either. People know there is no one in the branch & they can easily shoot or tie up 2-3 people. Someone is going to get hurt it they don't care.
