Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

JPM is bad, but what's better?

Honestly, name one bank it would be worth transferring to?

Big Tech. They have great monopolies with executives and founders who own thousands of politicians. Professional handicappers say Jamie won't live much longer. What happens after that to this place is anyone's guess. This company is implicated in massive crimes yearly with billion dollar fines, if Jamie is gone things will likely go down hill very quickly though. My suggestion is to look for a slighter weaker financial and squeeze them for a couple more bucks and get out while things are looking rosy.

To that OP who said not being forced to make racially discriminatory hires - lol - as if hiring only white people you associate or identify with is not racially discriminatory. People act like the 2% of black hires are like utterly unqualified when its more likely you have multiples more unqualified white employees who got hired because of relationships, associations....but whatever...smart ones see through d-mb a-s comments like this.

Walmart is better than JPMC for sure. I was forced to retire from JPMC, but now that I'm a greeter at Walmart, it's fun to run into my old "co-workers" and ask them how they are doing from time to time. Most of them are still very poor in health and are suffering daily. It's very sad to see.

Smaller banks. Was at JPM for over a decade in CCB and Corporate. Smaller banks have less stress, less politics, and more pay. PNC, Bank of the West, Frost, NFCU, USAA, Ally, etc are the places to try to get into, to name a few.

To the child below, don’t be mad at managers just because you’re not capable of becoming one. So what if a manager is forcing his power on you ? What you gonna do about it? Your job is to be a good boy and follow whatever order is given to you. If you don’t like it, there is always the door, and yes, you are replaceable :)

Looks like we have some middle managers in the comment section trying to justify their existence again.

Forget the salary. You’re working for the biggest bank in the world, that ability to brag and make your friends see you as god should worth half of what you’re getting. So zip it

I work for a smaller bank now after working for Chase for 15 years. The big difference is the quality of the managers. The managers I had at Chase were mostly women, and most were very ineffective. Seems like at Chase they hire weak middle managers based solely on their ability to comply with upper managers. Now I work for a manager who gives a damn. When he sees an opportunity to make a change that will make our process more efficient or effective he makes it happen. I have the same base salary as I did at Chase and I'm much happier. Oh, and the constant pressure to adopt a racially discriminatory agenda does not exist.

After10 years of 2-3% annual raises I moved to a competitor this year and received over a 50% increase in base salary... that is better.

What is better is taking ownership of your own life instead of complaining about your employer.

McDonalds is great. Much better of a "bank". I feel like I get my money's worth when I get a Big Mac and eat it on the company dime. I also take plenty of restroom breaks at work to ensure I flush my colon frequently.
