Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Ex worker

I worked for the company for 16 years. Since 2015 the company has really gone down hill as an employee. I made it through countless rounds of layoffs. I worked with some of the most intelligent wonderful people that are all gone now. 2018 they cut almost all local support for B to B. They changed most of the B to B support to 2 call centers. The job is terrible. The systems have constant issues. Trying to process a simple order for a rep can take days due to system issues. I was recently laid off along with a lot of employees that have been with the company for a long time. We all made too much so we were all laid off. Now they have their 2 call centers under paying the employees for a job that is the worst I have ever had. Now B to B has ZERO local support. If a Business customer has a problem GOOD LUCK !

Stop looking for other people to "support" aka do your job for you, maybe if you actually paid attention and did your job, learned the plans and systems you would be ok or marketable. Sad that B2B folks these days literally want everything handed to them and don't have the skillset to actually uncover ops or sell something, they want to off load it to a "support team" all while getting paid bloated $$$$$$......I mean how many other people do you need to do your job? Data people/cpcs, managers, data engineers, BCGO/GEAS...you can't close a deal without 10 other people hand feeding it to you because you have no clue what is actually being sold or how to use the "support" you have in place..funny and sad.

But somehow they managed to make over 100 billion a year and pay billions and dividends yeah sounds like they don’t know what they’re doing lol Apparently Warren Buffett and his management team that dug into their business plan and spent close to $9 billion disagrees with you food for thought I have 14,500 shares make me almost $.63 a share every corner I think they’re doing just fine

seems that wireless is starting to wake up to the same nightmare that plagued wireline for years... lack of parts, support, key players gone, layoffs, etc. just look to wireline if you wireless f**ks want to know how your story is going to end.

Verizon Wireless was awesome until it merged with the bloated dinosaur Telco Verizon Communications. It all went to $hit after that.

B2B channel is a pathetic joke. The only decent knowledge management are Senior Managers... anyone above that is useless, arrogant and clueless. The Swede and his band of merry memories are running the company into the ground almost like it was planned. But hey, they are fired up!
