State Farm please do a survey asking employees if they would take a buy out. Come on, don't be a p--zyyy, do it. Use a third party vendor and just ask the questions. Then after you do it be brave enough to share the results with the employees. Get really brave and actually offer a buyout to anyone who wants to take it based on the new severance plan or a buy-out package! Pull the band aid off, do it, do it, do it. Stop with the tricks, deceptions, and pressure cooker environment to run people off. You don't want most of your tenured employees so pay them to leave. "They" don't drink the Kool-Aid and never will! It's an easy check to cut! You will make up the cost in a year or sooner in most cases! That way no one can complain if they decide to stay, you save face, and have your "dream" workforce!!!

Why would they buy you out? That doesnt make any sense. If you are going to leave you will leave.
If they, SF Exec Leadership, we’re smart, which they are not, they could help with attrition of the many 25+ year employees, which you rightly state they wish to get rid of, by offering un- reduced retirement benefits at age 55 from their over funded Guaranteed Pension Program.
