Does anyone truly care? Same phone. New iPad 9th gen. No bezel ooooooo. And iPad mini with fake 5G only. Hahaha what a joke. These sheep will still lineup. And someone explain to me why you would ever want to finance a cell phone for half as long as a car loan. It's a cell phone. They are obsolete after 2 years anyway. 30 months makes no sense for $1000. Why the big push? Oh, you have a valid reason for 30 months? Ok, what's my incentive to push that with a customer? Oh, there is none? Oh, ok. Good talk.

No phones in stock just a few 12 pro maxes, se.s and a couple of Xr s no 13 series. Our customer base thinks there is unlimited amounts in this era of supply issues. The job is beyond ridiculous, no new iPhone s to sell ? Turning away all those na--d iPhone 13 upgrades with no insurance ?

When I see a bunch of customers waiting in cue I naturally slow down and take as much time as possible with each customer. Who goes to any store for anything and when given the expectation there may be a 1 hour wait time they say “ ok “. ? WTF is wrong with people get a life.

Anyone else running 2 reps each day this launch? In the past it was 6-8reps. I get a crack out of telling customers it’s a 2hr+ wait. #TheNewNormal

So our manager told us that all the new Iphones were reserved for new lines only. We tell existing customers the phone must be ordered online because we are out of stock. Meanwhile there are phones on the shelf...I don't feel comfortable doing this. Should I go to HR? Any other teams getting told to do this?

The Apple iPhone launch hype is officially OVER now the only thing Verizon will be good for instead of riding the coat tails of folks wanting these devices is its service it provides to its people and current base. That does support the survey theory, and why it is so steeply graded and curved to benefit you losing your commission check. Regardless very poorly executed. You are now a clerk haha, no other way to put it. A Sales Clerk. I wonder what would happen if everyone banded together against this? Oh wait threaten their money bring in tons of new it will be all alright.

Dam I hope you are talking after tax because you were barely hitting at risk, even if you're a terrible rep lol. Never once in 8 years made less then a 2500 check before taxes until they only gave us base during covid.

Not for me. My commission checks on the old plan averaged 700-1100 monthly. Now they average 1000-1500 and I make more hourly pay. Basically all Verizon did was spread out the extra commission those few guys hitting 3-4 checks made to those bottom level reps like me. I still have low numbers but enough to get by every month. Factually speaking there are a quite a bit more Verizon reps making more money now then on the old plan. There are only about 25% making less.

manipulating numbers and pushing upgrades out the door because they waste our time if they dont want anything else…. i flat out talk ppl out of upgrades or going somewhere else to do it

100% facts right there. We were told individual commission was going away because the company wanted a no pressure, no slamming or up-sell culture in the stores. Look how long that lasted ? You have managers waiving act fees on pull through to close sales, giving bill credits for “ keeping insurance on the phone more then 30 days “ and slamming Get More because that is a major hot button right now. Verizon is a horrible hypocritical company .

We are having a hard enough time getting these 19 year old, recent high school grad, first job having new hires to come to work, much less up sell.

And don’t get my started on knowledge retention. Asking the same questions over and over and over again. So lazy they won’t even try to use their resources and figure things out. They want everything done for them. It is absolutely ridiculous.

@kmy+1cYsPRL9 Salespeople get direct compensation for things that they sell. This is no longer a salesperson type job… at the corporate stores anyway. You can groom the new hires into believing that upselling matters but you cant change the reasoning why Verizon corporate nixed individual commission in the first place.

Bring the quote out and position 30 months of payments to get them to think about that instead of weather or not they want to protect there device with VZM. Control the convo be a salesperson not an order taker.

30 month is to appear cheaper to the customers and people are keeping their phones longer. Also keeps them on Verizon a bit longer
