Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

AIG is a joke

How many times will they lay off people it will take hiring two or three new people to replace before anybody here learns anything?

These stupidly high paid managers don't care of this, they have a life span of 4/5 years, they just rob whaterver they can and then flee. Thinking that people don't count and that evrything can be turned into figures utterly id--tic. Just answer this question: Am I proud of working for this Company ? Or it's just a paycheck every month? Still they are lucky because many people still do their job well because they are good people

AIG200 produced no realized benefits. Other CEOs report realized benefits in financial statements - esp from mergers (such as Gladfelter or others).

Accenture employees are leaving. I have already seen 2 leave from the same position in 3 months. The new replacements have no clue what to do and the run book is limited. I give them little information since I know my days are numbered. I saw what AIG did to my former, hard working co-workers....just cut them loose....limited info from me.

Funny part is AIG is hiring back laid off employees as consultants. So they’re not saving any money at all, just looks that way due to accounting gimmicks.
And firing lower level folks while hiring more managers who know nothing and do no work and rely on Accenture to save them is a recipe for problems. Look at how poorly AIG200 is being run as a case in point.

As many times as it takes to get payroll spending where it needs to be.
