Have been considering leaving the expensive Bay Area (old HQ) for cheaper places (Colorado or Washington). If you've done this, did you get a pay cut or do they just not give raises going forward?

Smart people, get the company to move them. Pay for the moving expenses, an insured moving company. Exceedingly talented employees get apartment expenses paid during the move for a month or two. So they can "find" their new place to live.
You better make yourself valuable to earn your pay. Spend time taking the provided Oracle courses and exams, and obtain certifications. The more the merrier.
No raises, and with inflation running wild, we are all working cheaper, and effectively being paid less and less daily!
It's pay....unless it's labeled a cost of living i don't see how they could legally cut it. But then, I think technically your suppose to get your Manager's approval to move more than some distance. May want to check the unemployment benefits or if you're full remote follow don't ask don't tell....and worry about it and taxes at a later date.
If ever there was a case for an employee union, Oracle would be a good example.
“ There are literally some employees of Oracle that haven’t seen any pay increase in over 10 years.”
And don’t even talk about how bad bonus numbers are!
“Not give raises going forward.”
Ha, they aren’t giving them now. And when they were (4 years ago) it was like 3% every three years ONLY for top performers. They don’t even beat inflation. You make less now than you did the day before.

True humanitarians!
They will definitely cut it.
But get this, if you move from a cheaper area to an more expensive area they don’t adjust it upwards.
Keep it classy Oracle.
