Literally dont open or close. Hassle sales reps for metrics that dont matter towards contribution. Sit out back all day. The ratio is unrealistic. You cant even help customers without the worry of that transaction counting against your contributions when we are a company that is supposed to help people. Customers are constantly turned away unless they are getting a new line. This is a joke and my whole store is looking for other jobs. We get more and more trainings on things that are added to our jobs responsibilities. Why do we have 2-3 managers gms included in a store getting paid the same while we do more and more of things only management was doing. Commission checks get smaller and smaller. I used to love Verizon and their integrity and what they stood for. Its all a joke now.

Sounds like you should talk to your DM. If the GM is guilty also then that is how it works. Or call the compliance line and tell them about your staffing. Complaining here isn’t going to change anything.
Sorry you have a lazy management team. As someone who promoted to the title formerly know as SM.
I don’t want reps doing anything but being on the sales floor. I will handle opening and closing duties. I will do counts, check in inventory, and handle service transactions.
As long as the reps at least mention vcc and vz home I’m good.
They force feed your customers and act like it’s normal. It’s getting old quick
