Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Truist Mobile app reviews, SunTrust tech leadership is responsible.

Check out the reviews for the Truist Mobile app that is currently being rolled out.
Truist Mobile Reviews: Apple app store 1.6, Google Play 1.8
The BB&T Mobile app has a 4.8 on the Apple app store, 4.6 on Google Play, and was named No. 1 Mobile Banking App among National U.S. Banks by J.D. Power.

SunTrust tech leadership is responsible for ruining the reputation of this bank. Beware the technical execution for the merger is being run by the same folks. It will be catastrophic!

I do not care for the Truist app it is so confusing. They lump everything together so I never know what my actual balance is. Miss Suntrust app they would post a charge and have a running balance after each one. I am loosing money due to the nsf fees since they switched the app. Just does not make sense. Looking for another bank.

After 40 years as a suntrust customer I may leave because the Truist app is unusable to pay my credit card bills. What a mess!

Don't worry, we're working diligently with our overseas partners to fix the reviews.

Can't understand why the quick view feature was removed with the merge. I used it constantly with BB&T. It is very annoying to keep signing in to see my balance. I may consider changing banks.

I've had to present some fairly complicated numbers to Donta on a few occasions. I always try to d-mb the information down as much as possible naturally because I'm an expert in something that an executive shouldn't have expertise in. All I have to say is he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. It also becomes strikingly apparent by who he picked to be leaders on his team in the new org. If you know a little about his history at BB&T, he is someone who has that rah rah cheerleader, Tony Robbins-wannabe kind of personality, and I think Kelly liked that and coupled with Donta's religious background (believe his dad was a minister) and you've got a BB&T golden child. Let's see how he survives SunTruist.

Who is the technology leadership these days? Who is leading the merger?

Does no one else see that Donta is as useless as this app? Doubtful Truist employees would rate him any higher than 1.6 stars. Wonder if he’d “expect that”?

A 1.6 is “not out of line with our expectations”. Holy cow! So, is he not in essence saying they would have been shocked if it had actually been “good”?? Why would a “new” company trying to build reputation knowingly roll out a subpar application? Outside of the horrible treatment of employees, this merger just gets funnier and more surreal every day! But hey, Truist does stand for better ha,ha,ha!

“What we’re seeing in the feedback is things we had already expected to see,” Wilson said. “We’re paying close attention that.”

So they intentionally released and app that they knew had lots of issues? Is that an attempt at corporate spin? It is comical, kind of like a car company saying "we expected the car to have lots of mechanical issues when we made it" .

“ Comments left by around 3,700 users have identified some frustrations that Wilson says the company is aware of. Some reviewers, for example, have been asking for a credit-score monitoring option, which Wilson said would be introduced with time. At the moment, the app scores 1.6 stars out of 5 -- a low rating, but not out of line with the company’s expectations”

Haha. Credit score monitoring will be there in time. Lol. Every banking and credit card app has that, even the old U app. That’s like table stakes. But don’t worry, Donta expected all of this. Well I guess when you go with the SunTrust culture of fear and incompetence, then yes you would expect this.

Run away as fast as you can from this sinking ship.

Lolz. Who could ever have seen this coming? But the sad thing is Wall Street won’t care so long as more people are RIFed and that sweet expense ratio goes down.

It's a mixed bag. hBBT design team built the actual app. but hST tech is responsible for all the tech failures. both sides are to blame equally.

Why would it work? We have incompetents at the wheel. This merger is doomed.
Now go work all night and weekend so Dontae gets his bonus!

Donta and Jester Case are not worried. It works with all Fintech applications. Can you say delusional!
