Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Does anyone have any advice on how to save your job here?

I'm hoping they will lay me off.

I've heard this many times. Lately especially. I wish my situation was like that too, but unfortunately, I can’t feel so free because a lot depends on this job and I still wasn't able to get any other job. Moreover, as much as I am not satisfied, I still want to do everything to keep it and I am very anxious not to lose it.

I wouldn’t have asked this question if I hadn’t seen earlier how easily this company gets rid of hard-workers.

They have to consider other factors during RIF. For example they cant fire everyone over 60 etc or they will leave themselves open to a lawsuit. They have to lay off equal numbers in each age group and males and females and races, etc.

Once a rif is announced it is too late. You have to show up as your best self every day.

Just try to show how valuable that you are each and every day. That being said, there is no rhyme or reason with who they select in my experience. Our team lost a top performer in one round of layoffs and someone who was the total opposite. Best of luck.

A lot of people are in this situation we’re they need to keep this job but aren’t satisfied or feel secure due to constant lay offs which seem to happen every year or two. The only thing that has helped me go through lay offs here is doing my job as best as possible, getting licensed doing certifications. Good luck to all

Do your job to the best of your ability. Stay positive, stay focused. Show that your skills are needed with the direction the program is going. Get your licenses.
