What VPs in OCI have ANY badges?
Management has to have something to do, so they make up cr-p that has no real purpose. They've got a lot of time to fill, you can sit and twiddle your thumbs for only so long. Taking home the big bucks for nothing, while the people underneath get the blame for everything.

You better keep that OCI certification up to date. Otherwise how would HR deal with the Taleo reports where you are underperforming?
They may not be something that people deserve, but they fill in for a raise or a promotion. They are all the recognition you may get!

I honestly couldn't have cared in the slightest. Some of the most useless people I knew had two lines worth of badges.
No. Useless. Opposite of badge of honor. Oracle can't even run their bags program right. Had to log (1) log a ticket to have it manually applied to my employee profile to (2) prove to my a$$ine management chain that I'd passed a bull$hit OCI certification exam that (3) had literally nothing to do with my job.
Are you somehow getting something useful out of your badge(s)?
If so, maybe try seeing how much better it feels to get a raise. Gotta leave big O for that to happen though!
