Definitely! I had both good and bad managers in the companies I worked for so far, but I never had a worse manager than here. Somehow I could handle everything else here, but the manager is the main reason I’m leaving.
Sometimes it’s not clear to me if those at the top are aware of how much individual managers are hurting this company, given that some of the best people are leaving because of certain bad managers here?
Listen oh pirr people. I worked under KW and she was a great manager. I was in training with her son MW and he was pretty smart when we were there together. Y'all are weird about them being family and in the same dept.
I was brutally honest in the employee survey last year and asked questions about management hiring their family and friends and the favoritism and my director at the time read all of the questions that people in our department asked. Mine was included. So much for these surveys being "anonymous" when they can pinpoint your department and team you're on. I'm so over working here. I'll be job searching in the new year.
Molina Sr. Leadership in CA is no better. The very few hardworking good Managers/Supervisors/Directors have their hands tied by ill informed bad choice making VPs who are in alliance and favor direction suggestions from the other Managers/Supervisors/Directors who are driving hard working employees away. I've heard of and been part of several different department leadership issues. The issue isn't that people are not speaking up in surveys, or to HR, but that favoritism and lack of "proof" is against the employee. Next steps besides unionizing? Report to state employee legal department for infringement on employee rights.
Sad to say all of the comments in the prior posts apply to the OHIO PIRR department management-both former and current.
Mine was on her way out … so what did they do..put her in another management position.
Agree 100%, Molina culture is to hire and promote bad managers, this starts at the top. Our HR department does nothing to stop this trend because HR at Molina does not support employees, only managers and above are supported. It is useless to report bad management behavior. Our department suffered with a multitude of bad managers, some with zero experience, others thought everything was urgent, current one thinks nothing of sending out emails at all hours of the day/night, schedules after business hours meetings that are not necessary, manages up not down, agrees to every issue and owns it without any pushback or delegation to the correct department and hires incompetent staff to make herself look good. It is a sorry state of affairs that very good and qualified employees are seeking jobs elsewhere due to bad managers. Wake up Molina.
My horrible manager was promoted… they just keep going up in this company despite multiple complaints to HR..
