Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Who Should be fired A,B,C,D?

Sc--w up: Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau were disappointed in Wells Fargo’s progress in remunerating victims from its fake- accounts scandal and beefing up its internal controls.

Option A: Derek Flowers Bio says: “responsible for driving transformation and achieving operational excellence across all of the company’s businesses to enable the company to better execute against our regulatory priorities.” Sounds really close to the guy that should be axed.

Option B: Lester J. Owens. Bio says: “responsible for building a more unified, more integrated approach to Wells Fargo’s business operations functions.” Sounds like gibberish, phony boloney bimbo job, but not guilty.

Option C: Amanda G. Norton. Bio says “oversees all aspects of the company’s independent corporate risk function and risk oversight activities, including oversight of all financial risks (credit risk, market risk, etc.) and non-financial risks (operational risk, compliance risk, etc.). Her leadership team includes chief risk officers for each of the five business groups and risk officers overseeing all risk-type risk management programs.” How many Chiefs are we paying for exactly?

Option D: Charles W. Scharf. Bio say "Charles W. Scharf is chief executive officer and president." doesn't say exactly what work he's doing though for all that money he's getting paid, but the buck stops with him.

Who should be fired?

Pretty clear actually… Derek Flowers and Amanda G. Norton. Scharf is doing a great job, but he does need to replace those two.

Anyone that's white and didn't come from JPM is likely at the top of the list.

Bill Daley should be on that list.

The buck stops with the board of directors, not the CEO, in American corporate law. Directors are not employees - they stand in the place of the owners.

The CEO is their employee.

And this is why they want people back in the office asap because apparently WFH is not working for the people responsible.

All of the above; except Lester, all have been around long enough to get things right and have failed. All they have done is re do processes and create more bureaucracy. We were actually making a lot of progress on the concent order work until CS came in and wanted a new way on just about everything. Then all his cronies came in and demanded the same.

This is like one of the hundred required training courses we have to take yearly. My first guess is A, C, D. But if this is a wells fargo learning center test and its 3 of 4, its better to say all of the above... so final answer is A, B, C, D.
