What are your experiences with looking for a new job - how many applications do you send on average? I was finally positively surprised. I sent a minimum number of applications and within three weeks I got a good offer. If the search for a new job had taken longer than that, I don’t know how I would have endured working here any longer. So far I have changed multiple jobs and have never found a new job so quickly. Was I very lucky or the situation on the job market is now better than it's been in a long time?

To the comment that younger workers get picked up faster, that's true in general, but...
I got hired 2 months after I started applying, for 30% more than I was making at HW, 100% WFH, better benefits...at age 66! But, I did put in some effort to get there: got a new certification, shared my experience in LinkedIn groups, and never said a negative word about any previous employer. (I save that for this board.)
You can move onward and upward at any age!
Atlanta, the SW market is hot. Filling out 3 applications a day for 1 week, after I logging off from Honeywell. I have my first interview. Can't wait to move on......Good luck all!

OP, congratulations my experience has been similar but it took me few months to land to a leadership role. I took time to work on my educational and interviewing skills. Market is pretty hot right now. In fact, I have seen many of the HON leaders switching jobs in the past 3 months. Good luck!
Depends on how old you are. Younger workers can get snapped up quickly.
Congratulations. Best of luck in your new position. Try hard to lose any bitterness as it won’t help in your new work and literally makes you sick.
