Bro Verizon can’t even retain the new employees. We have a multi store that’s extremely short staffed and they hired 4 new people within the past two months…
3 of them quit already. 🥴🥴🥴
Verizon is a total $hitshow

It would be easier to answer if you specified the area of the company. There are lots of parts and they are in very different situations. There will be no cuts to retail for example they are massively understaffed and can't hire fast enough.
I don’t want to lose my job, but we keep losing people due to promotions and moves to other companies. I can’t imagine them laying off more people in retail since they are still hiring… but if I were the CEO, I’d shut down some stores. All we do is troubleshoot, take appointments, and ask people to use ISPU. Everyone is barely keeping their head above water. I wouldn’t be surprised if one day all of the reps just walk off the job. The harassment they receive from customers is insane. Pretty soon we will be left with an entire staff of new hires who need 2-3 months to be able to process effectively.
I don't see how company owned retail has a future. It is so expensive. Rent, salaries, benefits, shrink, facilities. Triple net leases means Verizon pays the utilities, property tax, insurance and all maintenance inside their space.
Back in the day, one store would net 800 to 1,500 GG's a month. Now they just sling FedEx boxes.
How on earth is this even remotely profitable? Someone please explain.
Agree with Jan. Labor has the company by the ba--s. They should really do something nice for the people that are left or people will keep leaving in droves or keep clerking and just being a warm body. People aren't applying and the people who are getting on boarded, nice people but bottom of the barrel work experience wise. It's finally starting to make sense to the last of the tenure how to play the new game. Work less, not harder.
Don't expect any lay off maybe until January. 1. The iPhone is coming soon ( I don't think verizon is d-mb enough to lay off the only 5 reps left in each store) 2. Holidays are coming soon( verizon wants to squeeze every little hour of each rep until January when it's dead) . Those are my predictions.
Still tons of dead wood.
I hope so.
I'm ready to be put out of my misery.
Probably not in stores. So short staffed with daily hour wait times.
Probably. The month just started...
Anything beyond two here, three there?
