When are they going to end our suffering in retail? Having this job is like being abused at this point. I’m so disappointed and so are my coworkers. We were excited for team commission, until we found the truth that two reps could game the system with incredible quality of sale and lazy work ethic while the rest of us do upgrade after upgrade because we don’t camp on one customer for 4 hours. What’s the result? No more multiplier. I went from making money every month to now being used and mistreated by management because I’m smart and capable, while the laziest among us are rewarded for their creative ways at being inept. And paying on surveys, making the goal to multiply over 96%? This place is a JOKE, a perfect example of corporate greed and mismanagement. The credo means nothing at this point and the whole enterprise is rotten with waste and stupidity.

Only by US working together, building power and making our voices heard can make we make retail better for us. Leaving the job won't solve the issue because you will always face new issues at a new workplace.
So are they trying to keep it super hush or something then? Not trying to get the stock even lower upon laying off VPs, or morale?
Confirmation? The 3 if them disappeared all at the same time and the entire structure changed to no longer have area presidents all in the same year? Do you think that would be a coincidence? As well as all the changes to direct and indirect being combined?
Do we have confirmation that the vice presidents of consumers were laid off and not just quit and left?
I know you guys think DMs and sales directors have say in things but they have 0 say in compensation. A bunch of them were laid off when the one team thing happened this winter. Even the consumer presidents were laid off. You are feeling the pain rain down from the Swede himself.
We don’t have Samsung, but we have Iphones , it really doesn’t matter cause upgrades that are na--d and no type of protection doesn’t mean anything anyway.
Sales people...lol. We have Samsung and iPhone? Which will it be? So much "selling" ROFL...
If you want to treat us like "sales" people than you need start paying us like "sales" people!!
If don't want to pay us like sales people than DM stop micro managing the F outta us!! And if your director is micro managing you than you need to grow a set and tell him the same thing.
We are not a "sales organization" anymore, we scan barcodes like we are at the super market and no we don't "owe" it back to the company ...when you the DM's and above acknowledge this than it will make all of our lives better...
Best Buy doesn’t care about the up sell and they just clerk out phones. Verizon still has trainings with up sell in the verbiage and they want everything pitched . That would be considered a sales job in which every company (but Verizon) doing it that way has individualized commission structures.
Lmao at the idea complaining to your gm or dm will matter...they have nothing to do with this.
Best Buy is totally relevant and will probably replace these obsolete cell phone slam pit snake shacks.
Best Buy is not relevant…
I left this company back in March. Best decision I’ve ever made. The writing has been all the wall for many months. Either find a new career or accept these changes!
You do have the option to look for another job, either internal or external. I honestly don't know why any of you stay to continue taking the abuse.
Best Buy has no individual commission so....
You'd think we would learn from Circuit City what happens when you eliminate commissions. And team commissions? Not ideal if your goal is sales.
I agree with this sentiment 100%. The problem is there are only a few reps per location that are vocal about our concerns and complaints. They let one or two reps do all the dirty work while they complain to each other instead of to the GM and DM. Stop being cowards and start working harder at voicing your opinions and concerns.
