This post is indicative on multiple levels... Why oh why is there focus on a 2nd hand laptops? How about that ficus or the office microwave as a souvenir?
Up here in Canada we colour production analysts have macbook pros. When I left Xerox in January I was hoping I'd be able to purchase it but in the end couldn't. Its simply they don't have the paperwork in place to allow that. So when the M2 comes out.... sweet jesus... I'll be in line then :)
No, and if you do decide to keep it, Xerox will come after you for it. It's considered company property so when you exit, you must return all company property (cell phones, badges, keyboards, mouse, headset, credit cards, etc.), including laptops. I've never worked anywhere where you keep company property
I waited around for two weeks to have mine picked up. Pretty sure my manager didn’t know how to request a pickup so I called my longtime IT contact and he sent me the return packaging the very next day. I’d probably still have it if I didn’t take action. Management is too busy, too important or too d-mb.
In our area they take those laptops and re-image them and give them to the agents/new people....
If you want it because you've been using it for personal reasons, maybe that's a factor in getting a RIF.
@vbm+1c8HDPC3 Jinx. I was about to type the same. Why on EARTH would you want that piece of cr-p. Buy a nice 2-in-1 for $700-900
It's a Divorce, make a clean break and never look back.
Why would you want it?
I doubt that they would and they're commodity grade units anyway. ???
No.
