Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

How did this happen?

How did BP turn from one of the better employers into one of the worst? I used to enjoy my work, now I dread every new workday. It's a drastic difference compared to a decade ago, maybe even less than that. I'm afraid to even think how this place will look ten years from now.

It happened because the indentured servants started actually believing they were wiser than our esteemed leadership, as such, the peons destroyed what was a fantastic organization.

In 10 years, when bp is just convenience stores and an electrical grid, will we be given the opportunity to apply to be store greeters?

Personally i felt it was when John Browne was forced to leave the company without a decent successor. Others will feel that the slip started to happen a few years earlier.

Either way it’s been happening for a long time.

As to what the company will be like in 10 years time, I imagine that it will still exist as a convenience store and energy broker.
