The ex date was 07/08/2021 that is the date AFTER the dividend is issued or the EX DATE

Here s another fun fact -- If you bought 1 share of Verizon on 07/9/2020 and then sold the stock and remember you get the dividend, you sell on 08/03/2020.
For each stock purchased you would gain a profit of $3.89 per share.
$53.37 on 07/09/2020 - $56.64 on Aug 3, 2020 plus dividend = $3.27+$.62 per share =
$3.89 per share purchased wow imagine a return of $3.89 for every $54.00 put in a bank in less then a month!!!!
