Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Explanation: poor planning?

Never understood why we had entire dept especially in indirect dedicated to something reps were already selling pretty successfully. We were essentially paying additionally salaries and commission on SMB sales to 3 more Vzw employees for something that was already being sold in stores. The additional sales brought in could never have been enough to cover that.
______________
Me neither, @1ywu+1c1SQU7n. I don't know what the explanation is for that.

We are in a weird spot were most people who are smart know not to give a hoot. There is a labor shortage. We have hired 3 people with zero job experience in the past 9 months. This is their first job ever.

Some reps who work in Indirect are making less money hourly than someone who works at a fast food restaurant. There is no incentive to move any metric. They would rather just sell to consumer accounts than the headaches with SMB. I’ve seen first hand an Indirect employee pass up 10-30 SMB lines per month because it’s not worth the stress or headache. Even corporate employees know how overwhelming SMB customers, accounts, and processing can be. Imagine making $8 an hour. They don’t care about results and you can’t blame them.

I use to watch reps get excited about new SMB customers and spend 2 hours trying to close the sale with issues with credit etc. Meanwhile I was scooping up consumer upgrades and new lines. SMB is a waste of time and should be entirely handled online or with an SMB specialist. Keep Business accounts out of the store we don’t have time to deal with B360.

Explain to me why my store was exceeding smb activations when the smb bar and the store worked together, we submitted leads and the bar closed them, and we would be in constant contact. Now for some strange reason the bar doesn't answer his phone and we are being told that smb is on the store!! Store needs to close business…

Answer me this?? Why is it that a store closes lines the bar gets paid but if the bar closes something on their own it's not split with the store

They need a cold calling body that thinks they have a better position than retail sales.

you weren’t selling business without an smb rep there to do your entire sale for you . to be clear. and you aren’t now, either. so that’s the explanation on that position.

This comment just shows you know nothing outside of the 4 walls of your retail store.
