Serious question / "real" survey: how would you say the Agility drive and the re-org (the resource level and how they are used within the new company structure and updated personnel R&R) working in your view so far? I'll start - GoM P&O, production / resdev/ New Well Delivery: the re-org so far has been a mess- new assigning of "technical only" and "area planning only" roles; removal of working Team Leaders, moving to "Squads", forcing the "Agile method", all with a backdrop of a severe resource shortage, are IMHO going to have disastrous consequences at some point. It simply isn't working. What are you all seeing? Is it really improving the experience in other parts of the business?

How have all the robots been performing? It must be nice to sit back while they do all the work.
Agile is poison. Pushed by consultants. Plantation mentality.
Do cr@p work fast - is this even sustainable?
C&A here: Morale has been slumping for the past 2-3 years and has really fallen further since the reorg. The US team was crushed with layoffs and many of us are now juggling 2-3 roles. Bernie and the LT claim to care about mental health, but this has been a disaster for morale. We lost so many good people in December/January, and even more over the last few months seeing the writing on the wall and jumping ship to new opportunities.
Seeing individuals in their underwear on teams calls is not agile.
Renewal here. I’d say it’s a mess. It feels like having 2 bosses and 0 bosses at the same time. 2 people to report to but no connection with either. They are saying we are very important for the future of the company but are trying to just keep squeezing more work out of fewer people. Corporate keeps saying you have to push back on the work, but what happens when the people above you just push right back? There is a disconnect between each level of the company. The loss of the 9-80 schedule has been a disaster for morale. I’d say anyone with experience is looking to leave now.
Finance & Risk also disaster. Everyone running on fumes and lowest morale I've ever seen.
Finance. Disaster. GOM. Disaster.
P+O here. The new org structure is a mess. Very unclear if bp will thrive in coming years. Many highly experienced people are gone, but nobody cares. Most people seem happy enough with the work they and doing and with their colleagues. Morale seems better than it was a year ago (which is not saying much) but far from ideal. Not many people seem to be eager to leave right now. Most folks are young enough to not worry about the future of bp and others are close enough to retirement and have seen enough nonsense that they just make the most of each day, regardless of what happens on the broader stage. It doesn't help that any future bonus is more profit-sharing than a function of individual performance. I get the feeling that people have collectively lowered their expectations. People seem to be seeking comfort, not aspiring to climb "the ladder".
BPX Here: This new model is awful. Morale is very low and many people are getting ready to leave this place once their contracts are up. The benefits are no longer competitive under this new model. They are squeezing us for more hours and more work with no bonuses and no benefit for working this hard. We are understaffed after the re-org. Leadership is failing on so many levels but we keep delivering cash flow for them and we see nothing in return but the bare minimum. I can't wait to get out of here....just biding my time.
Yeah I mean it’s been pretty decent. People don’t like change so can take a while to get used to new ways of working. It’s really not that hard to put what you need to do down on a list and then prioritise and bite it off in 2 weeks chunks. Great for identifying duplication of effort too.
